Hey Buddy.

You should be ok at 6 amps continous, I think the main problem stems from Align ESC user's that only have 3 amps continous to play with.

I wouldn't use 6 amps on a 90 class machine though, the Align BT6 struggles at 6 amps to power the flight gear of a 600E/N on the bench. Of course this is since the FBL revolution, on a flybarred heli the strain going back to the servo's is reduced and so current draw is less. This is shown in the amount of 2.4ghz issues that have been seen when using the Align 2in1's, which were ok on the machine before hand, but give problems after upgrading to FBL.

What ESC do you have out of interest?

These servos are drawing 1.2A @ stall and I've never had a problem, although I guess if the Align BEC is only 3A, that could cause an issue.

I think you should hit LVC on the ESC before you lose power to the servos, but you may need to set up the esc with a higher cut off or the BEC with a lower one..

Its the motor that cuts out on mine but on my previous Align esc & on 2.1 again motor would cut out unsuspectingly so upped the voltage then it effected the servo's as well also think it spiked the 3GX because when I fitted new Align esc the 3GX wouldn't power up.

Isn't it that way based on futaba.??? often things like that are opposite way round to say JR

dx6 is only a 6 channel so can't have gyro & gov wrong way as you can only have one or the other unless you have a 7 channel or that's what i thought.

But you can't swap which one it switches on the gear channel. It's gov on gear and gyro on aux 2 so you have to use a serperate rx

On some tx's you can swap channels around or even poss swap switches but then in saying that once your gain & gov's setup you then dont need the switches only for further setup purposes.

The gyro is switched on channel 7. Only having 6 channels means the gyro never sees a setting so never sets. Normally I do this with the gearcchannel but as I wanted to use the 3gx as the rx I don't have that option. Would be nice if they were software switchable in the unit.

Yeah I had this problem, bought a 700Ev2 with 3gx and sats and then found out I couldnt fly it with my DX6i

I might stick 3.0 on my 450 for a laugh. I dont really care if i crash it - so i might just stick it on there and go fly in anger. IS the tail holding any better? I Feel like my problems are a mechanical limitation of the tail on my 450 not having enough travel rather than being the 3gxs fault, but wondering what others experiences are?
