3gx update question

Hi all. Do most people unplug their motor before doing a firmware upgrade on the 3gx? I want to upgrade from v1.2 to v2.1 but the manual advises to unplug the motor.

Not keen if I don't have to however as it me ages to get those bullet connectors attached and pulling them apart ain't likely to be easy either ...

what do most people do?

I just used throttle hold

Today's outlook is fine for flying.
Spektrum DX18 gen2, Phoenix Sims, Align MR25XP.
