so whats the opinion of the new update then. i have done my 600n and very please just need to tweek a litlle as i set my roll and flip rate a bit low but over all very happy.

Im getting a "dead spot" outside of the centre area of stick travel that I can't get rid of. For example, you have the "centre" line on the stick, marked on the tx body. It has 4 lines either side of the centre line - If i move to the line closest to centre the heli goes to full cyclic pitch. If i move the rest of the way, no more pitch is applied - despite the fact the 3gx app shows the extra stick movement.
The next problem is mechanical binding - no matter what I do, I get it. I have travel limits set to 50% at the moment (in the new setup menu) for both aileron and elevator. This is equating to 10 degrees cyclic pitch, which doesnt seem right for a start. Added to that, if I go full aileron/elevator and turn the rotor head it "sticks" at a certain point and I get a "click" sound from the swashplate and it free's up again - all this at 10 degrees cyclic!
All servo arms are horozontally level, all push rods removed and re-measured, 0 pitch checked and is correct and confirmed 8 degrees cyclic in DIR mode.
Im at a loss what to do, and it doesnt seem im the only one getting binding and weird dead spots...NONE OF THE BELOW HELI'S ARE OWNED BY ME ANY MORE

3GX v2.0 travel limit setup - HeliFreak dont want to reduce travel any further! Why cant I have 12 degrees of cyclic align like I did before?!?!NONE OF THE BELOW HELI'S ARE OWNED BY ME ANY MORE

This is with aileron and elevator travel set @ 26%. I still get 10 degrees of cyclic though. roughly 10.5 @ 30% and 11-11.5 at 50%.
The washout arms are hitting the swashplate at the extremes of travel, this is with both full aileron and elevator applied. Only seems to happen with full left aileron and either full forward or back elevator. Right aileron is ok.... Presumably because of the direction the washout arms extend in!NONE OF THE BELOW HELI'S ARE OWNED BY ME ANY MORE

I set up my 600 EFL Pro as per the instructions. I had to use 35% travel limit on both axes to prevent mechanical binding. At default flight parameter settings it felt pretty similar to v1.2 but after tweaking it flew superbly. I particularly liked the feel of increasing collective acceleration to 70%. It still needs a lot of tweaking but i'm already much happier with it. Just wish it included an electric governor.Originally posted by ollie View Postso whats the opinion of the new update then. i have done my 600n and very please just need to tweek a litlle as i set my roll and flip rate a bit low but over all very happy.Synergy E7 - 4525 Ultimate, Futaba 252/276, Vortex, YGE 160 ESC, HV2 BEC Alu, Rail 696/106

Im using the outer holes on the servo arms - its on a 500 EFL pro though. Maybe I'll try the inners, see how that goes - cheers for the tip.
Regarding collective acceleration the manual says you should have a BEC if you increase that further than 50%, presumably this is because it'll run the servos at a higher voltage? Any news on how this works, and if I actually need a BEC in order to do it?NONE OF THE BELOW HELI'S ARE OWNED BY ME ANY MORE

I thought in the manual it said you need to have a direct power supply for collective acceleration above 50%? I'm using a WR Hercules Super BEC with output set at 6V.Originally posted by Delarado View PostIm using the outer holes on the servo arms - its on a 500 EFL pro though. I thought a BEC and direct power supply was the same thing... :PNONE OF THE BELOW HELI'S ARE OWNED BY ME ANY MORE

Hey.Originally posted by muscleflex View PostDelarado - have you moved your links to the inner hole? is it better?
I'm just wondering coz mine are on the outer holes and wondering if I should move them to the inner holes as well. I don't know what my 3GX firmware is tho.
As long as you can get the required pitch & cyclic ranges on the inner holes with no binding, then switch to the inner holes, as the increased control resolution will be a good thing.
The only problem to watch out for is the control arms fouling on the servo case, this can become a problem when moving control balls inwards.
