    Hey Buddy.

Quite possibly, but even with a lower amp draw 6 on a 600 class model is on the limit.

Unfortunately from me no, it was so windy Saturday I didn't even go flying and Sunday I was at the LMAC gala day so did not meet up with anyone who had a 3GX running V3.2. Duncan had removed his in favour of the Vbar again for now with the Nationals coming up next week.

However it seems V4 is in testing if the recent videos are anything to go by.

So there is quite a few people I know flying Kontronik ESCs with its 5Amp BEC and no buffer pack on 700 size machines with no apparent issues.

I suspect there are interested parties who would like to see real data not heasrsay on how much a helicopter setup actually draws when in flight.

The instructions only give the continuous rating of 6Amps for the B6X and no peak. The Kontronik is rated at 5Amps continuous with a 15Amp peak but no time it can hold the peak for.

i'm suprised to hear duncan removes the 3gx on his model
as i'd assume he has a model set up for testing align products
the align pilot i fly with has a model with the 3gx on and the comp machines with v-bars fitted
i know align was having feed back on the set up and values used to get the 3gx working as best as it can be
but the tail is never perfect for top pilots, meer mortals will be happy with the tail on the model i've seen
and does it get its neck rung out

          Hey Andy.

I thought the Kontroniks allow two receiver connections to up the amp draw capability?

"Further highlights are waiting inside, for example the strong BEC which is adjustable between 5 V and 6 V with PROGCARD II. It offers 5 A continuous BEC current with 15 A in peak. That is enough for all spectacular flight figures, even in helicopters. To provide this power the JIVE ESCs have got two parallel BEC output jacks. "

          Doesn't tell you much in that paragraph taken from the site;

          KONTRONIK JIVE

I know of one flier myself who had the odd brownout on his Kontronik equipped models, so could it be the BEC in this case wasn't ideal? No buffer pack was used, or the second wire from memory.

The Align unit has been proven to cause brownouts especially on Spektrum gear, pop on over to HF forum and do a search to see people who've actually had problems.

I'm interested to see real data to, I'm currently going by what we already know.

            Hey Buddy.

He use's his two main models to do any testing with, he flies with those the most so it half makes sense as he knows them so well. But on the other hand, you don't want to disturb a nice flying model.

Surprisingly Duncan liked the tail, coming from him this was a shock as it takes a lot to better the CSM gyro's he flew for many years.

the tail is the one thing that the young lad from robbe can't get to work as he likes it to
