    Help wi// Trex 250 3GX system??

Sack the 3GX off and put a Beast X unit on there. She'll fly lovely (for a 250 that is )

      Hey.

Stick with the 3GX I'd say, it was a little more involving to setup before V2.1 firmware but now it's much easier. Also it's flight performance is improved and Align are always looking to better its performance and release firmware upgrades to the end user when improvements are made.

There is a signifant amount in the difference of cost between the two, the 3gx being nearly £50 cheaper, this may be a little hint lol!¬ ill have to see, but i think that what align have produced must be decent for them actually allow them to use them!;p

Totally agree with Ian on this one, 3GX v2.1 works well with 250dfc with a nice easy to use parameters pc software or you can even adjust parameters at the field through the 3GX itself
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

It seems your set on wanting the 250dfc so if your able to do circuits or 8's then you can just use the 3GX's default parameters until you get to understand what parameters do what.!

If you're from Newark and flying a 250 you need to be along to the Uk's premier indoor flying club on Tuesday nights at the showground - and see that everyone, and I mean everyone has ditched 3GX's for BeastX's

                      Hey.

You have to be a very competent pilot to hit the 3GX's quirks in flight, the major hurdle for most was the fact they didn't understand what each of the parameters did and how to tune them to extract the performance they were after. The beastx got over this problem as it was all done ready for the user out the box, but even this unit is not without its problems.
The latest Align firmware has simplified the setup process and allowed good performance with minimal setup time.

At the end of the day you go with what suits you the best, as what feels good to one person may not to another flier for instance. For ultimate performance you get neither of the mentioned units and go for a Vbar.

Very much so and thats why there is such a vast majority of heli's availble out there!! ... I can imagine that the programming for the 3gx on the pc would be difficuilt!.. espiecally for me..
perhaps the pro would be better for the level im at?
