Hello All,
I've done my homework (I think
) but I haven't come across with anything even close to this problem. I recently got fed up with Align 3G and bought two full-size VBar 5.2 Pro units. One is Black with no satellite ports the other is the Blueline Pro. Both upgraded to latest firmware.
Since I have to use the receiver with the black VBar, I created a new model in my DX8, connected everything as advised between my trusted AR8000 and VBar main unit (no servos connected yet). I selected the "Standard RX Hookup" in the wizard, then I went to the next step. However, when setting the Transmitter sub-trims and servo travels to VBar's specs, neither rudder nor collective on VBar screen move
.
To see if my receiver works I put the RX-rudder into VBar-aileron, it worked fine. Then I put RX-aileron into VBar-rudder; this also works fine. Weird ??? I tested my RX with a spare digital servo and saw that all channels move smoothly and normally. That meant my VBar-Rudder input port did not like my RX-Rudder channel. It accepted anything but not the rudder.
Then I tested if this is due to the VBar itself. I put my VBar Blueline through the same test only to see EXACTLY the same behaviour. Is there something wrong with the AR8000? Well, I tried these again with an AR6100, too. Same problem...
I've run out of options. If only I had an oscilloscope to see the voltage and the signal of the Spektrum rudder channels, I could maybe then tell if the signal is a weird PWM or at the wrong voltage. I tried 11ms or 22ms with no difference in attitude so I'm completely puzzled now. I can't even pass the set-up. This makes me wonder if I should go back to Align stuff or a Beast-X...
Cheers,
Efe
