best clone FBL unit for Trex 250 ??

Well my kbar turned up yesterday so not a bad postage time I don't think.
just need to get it set up, my computer doesn't like the vbar download just comes up with loads of letters and number lol
the joy of a older computer running vista I suppose

Whar are the kbar's like?, are they exactly the same as the vbar or are there any differences?

Yep it has to be the Kbar and it fits just fine. I actually had this model set up first with a mini vbar and bought one of these to try. Even let me import the vbar settings and flies superbly! Not sure i'd trust it on a larger model though.

The mod I did was to extend the mount plate and put the servo on the boom. Otherwise it's under the skids and who wants it there

Yeah i've ordered from them a few times, takes between 2 / 3 weeks so standard for shipping from Asia. Never had anything caught in customs so it's likely they don't mark the real value (which is convenient for us).

The nice thing about GLB is that shipping is free. The price you see is the price you pay.

I see they have an even cheaper Kbar on their site (yellow case) but I've not tried it. The grey/black is good though.

The Tarot flybarless system is a pretty good cost effective alternative. Steve has used them on his T-Rex 500 and they worked well.
However, as has been said above, plenty of people are constantly swapping and changing FBL units so you can pick up a used beastX unit for a reasonable price. I've set loads of them up for club members over the past 12 months and can help you too if necessary.

There's quite a long thread on HF about people putting the GY280Rx vBar clone into their 130x's. The form factor is quite small, so I guess it lends itself to small helis like the 130x or 250.

I ordered mine on the 21st and it arrived yesterday (10th) so not bad really,
the only difference visually is the colour as others have said, that's as far as I've got, but To be honest at the flying I will be doing I probably won't notice a difference between any Fbl unit anyway, I am only flying circuits.
