I've used Magnum 30% Nitro for a couple of years, before that I used CoolPower 20%.
As far as my OS50 bearing are concerned, I probably replace a rear bearing twice a year, and that's been true of either fuel.
HOWEVER, myself and others at our field (for honesty's sake, this happens to be Bob's field as well) when through a period during the middle of last year where we all went through bearing at a much, much faster rate. The true 3D'ers were only getting a couple of gallons through them !!!.
We suspected that OS had started selling a dodgy batch of bearings (they were unmarked !), which seems to be bourne out by the fact that we're all back to something like our usual wear rate, yet we're still on the same batch of fuel (only just though).
Take that experiance as you find it, but personally I still have confidence in Magnum fuel, even if I'm indirectly putting money in Climbouts pockets (or more accurately in Dodgies (RH) slimey hands!)Janek
Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

i've been using byron 15% and contemplating changing to magmum 30 or cool power. Don't know what to do now though. My heli has be running sweet as a nut on the byron, bearings still went though after about 8 gallonsIt's all about the size of your chopper...

Janek,
If you have a dispute with Roger then call him to discuss it. Your derogatory jibes are really childlike and are now becoming a bore.
