Is there a way to increase the colour saturation of fuel?

It may sound like a strange question, but I have recently switched to Rapicon and find it to be very light in colour. I'm finding it hard to see the level without putting the heli down and walking over to it.

£6.31 for enough to do up to 300 litres...at 9p a bottle that's not too bad at all I'd probably get a few more out of that as well as it already has some colour to it.

Also just found out Model Technics do a product called Hi-Viz fuel dye at £2.50 ish for the same amount.

if i was you id go with the Model Technics stuff as they are a well known fuel company for model fuels
i have never heard of Rapicon ,over all i feel you would be best to get a shipment of well known heli fuel like magnum or optifuel

On the Trex 600 you can buy a fuel tank which is clearer so is easy to see fuel.
I also fly with a timer
          have fun

            Re: Fuel colour

To the fuel comment, don't worry about using rapicon, it's a well known and used a lot in Norway and i think Europe in general, think the brand is fairly new in the us though.

I do use a timer as a rough guide, but I like to see how much I have left as different styles of flying use fuel faster than others. It's always good to know if you can get in a few more manouvers before you have to auto

No I'm not worried about the fuel, I've used one bottle up already and it gives good power with low temp. The guy that I buy it from has been using it for the last 9 months and he used to swear on using Optifuel.

I've been using Rapicon for the last few months and it seems pretty much just as visible red as the Magnum I was using before but I suppose it depends on how translucent the fuel tank on the heli is.

(I'm using their 15% and it works fine so far)

                  Another vote for Rapicon here
Been using it for over a year. Works out about the cheapest £/litre of all the popular fuels, and as good as any of them.

Get mine from Rob at Evo rc.
