Nitro use by date

I have a couple of gallons of nitro (full unopened) that 'expired' in 2018. I guess it's good to go when all this is over.

Yeah, if it has remained sealed it should be fine. Over time some of the nitromethane can evaporate, but I have some very old fuel, like nearly 10 years old, and it still runs very well.

As Trillian has stated, they're ok to use.. I don't fly nitro much and I have found myself (in more than one situation) where the fuel is way expired! I think the oldest was 2012 and I was using it still last year.

I've an opened Optipower container about 1/4 full..... it is appx 3 years old.... I installed a new OS engine to my Trex 600 (as the lockdown gives us some time and should have done this ages ago....) the fuel was clear and not murky in anyway......

The engine started first time, remained positively smokey through the first tank, seemed to have plenty of power.... I thought that was pretty amazing to be fair!
