    Hey.

From what you are saying it sounds like you didnt cross hatch the liner to allow the new ring to bed into the liner?
When you fit a new ring you ideally need to put cross hatching in the bore of the liner using some wet and dry sand paper or a cylinder honing tool.

If you google engine liner cross hatching it will show you what is needed, this will allow the ring to bed in nicely and get the compression up again. Or you could fit a new liner and ring, as it is now that you've run the engine a new ring combined with the cross hatching will probably be needed.

i always thought this was a big nono on plated bores and was not to be done although yo can see in the wall where it has been done before. i will look out for some uber fine paper when im outt next thanks...... used to the old tapered abc stuff on models lol

i think i might get a new liner as everthing is worn on this engine . also a friend just replaced a ring without honing and theres is loaded with power so mine must be getting oval, infack i got a bairly used liner and thats got the croos marks on it still... i feel and engine experiment comine on
