  • YS91SR Rear Bearing

Is this bearing OK, or are they the same story as OS bearings, ie crap?

S9113 Rear Bearing YS5860 - YS 91 ST, SR, SRS

I'm going there tomorrow anyway so I can pick one up then.

    Cheers!

Treat the bearing as a consumable and then look for a supplier of the standard bearing. It's generic number is 16003.

The rear is a 16003 open bearing, and the front is a r6zz, im using SKF which is high quality

That is the approach I take. Buy cheap bearings and change reasonably frequently. The most recent one I bought was under 3 quid delivered from eBay.

Where do you buy these from mate?

EDIT: Silly me, would help if I'd thought to use the search function on the bearings site listed above lol

That's where I buy most of my bearings... never had a problem with them.

                    Is the SKF stainless steel?

I just placed an order with rcbearings.com in the USA as I have ordered from them in the past and I like the way their site is laid out where you can choose the engine or bearing size and then choose the material. So far I have not had to replace any of the stainless bearings I bought from them.

I had a look at simply bearings and rc bearings.co.uk but was not seeing the stainless steel ones.

I just ordered two stainless sets for the OS50 Hyper (two front and two rear) and the total with postage was about £23.00 in todays money. Maybe I'm spending more than I need but they do seem to last a long time.
