I am hoping to run in my new os 55 this week. And as I have two mix screws to work with now. Could any one tell me what the best starting Point is? And after I have run in should I adjust both or will it only be the one.

Starting point to run in is 2 turns out on both needles... after its run in and you have leaned it off it should be somewhere in the region of one and half on both needle .. this is with 55 pipe and 30% fuel ... TBH this is only a rough guide for finished settings as it depends on too much

I struggled to get an 1850ish headspeed with these settings Mike, I had to come in a couple of clicks just to get it off the floor.Originally posted by Mike W View PostStarting point to run in is 2 turns out on both needles... after its run in and you have leaned it off it should be somewhere in the region of one and half on both needle .. this is with 55 pipe and 30% fuel ... Had a gallon through and sitting a couple of clicks over 1.5 turns out. Using the highflow tt pipe.
Your really going to like it Matt, I've never seen my 600 climb like it does now, the biggest loops you can imagine, only ever seen them with a 90.
Mike, do you struggle to get through idle to mid with the above mid needle setting.

Dave ... when I had the 55 I was on 20% fuel with an outrage 55 pipe and ended up on turn and quarter on main needle and about the same on the mid ... with the bottom end just a little turn lean from centre ...

I started on 2 turns out as per the manual.. idled through 3 tanks first before getting it off the ground.. but at 2 turns out (1882), it was stupidly rich that you can see a river off fuel come out of the exhaust!
I'm still running rich at 1/3 and 1/5 but happy to leave it there to save some bearing.. but previously I was just under 1/4 on both which was really sweet!

I think you'd like it Ian. I could easily add more pitch to my setup but I don't think I'd be able to handle it to be honest. Theres a point in the video of Matt Botos flying the N5 where he takes off into sky at a rate I've never seen at about 4 mins, my 600 is just the same. I can't believe how smooth the power is.Originally posted by oneandonlyian View Postreally want to try this high flow pipe
