  • Engine winter storage

I think i'm packing up for the winter now.. its just too cold!

I've just cleaned the heli and about to strip the engine, change the bearings and cleaning it out before it sits out for the next few months. Is this best or shall I leave it the way it is, as Its stored in a warm house?

Buy yourself a decent set of warm wellies, not some MK nightclub loafers, a decent winter jacket, windproof and breathable. Get out and fly, pack up for the Winter, you Jesse!!

I haven't been flying in a couple weeks now. Lately it has been an odd combination of cold and wet. It has been misty / foggy and high humidity and just so dreary and depressing, low light etc. I don't recall it being like this as much the previous couple years. At the moment Sunday looks promising but we'll see.

I've just brought in the SG90 and the YS engine has had a load of after run oil checked at it... I suspect i'll have to change the YS bearings...

Now going to go do the YS 56 so if it ends up out side it'll be all right!
