  • OS 55 or YS 56

Easy question really, should I choose the 55 or the 56. Views and thoughts on both to help me make my mind up guys

Really like my OS55, and would definitely buy another.

SPares prices are something to take into consideration though.

            Ant and Dec!!

I don't know either of the engines to be able to make an informed opinion. I have found a couple of posts where people reported the YS produced more power.

Whichever engine you choose you will almost certainly need a new pipe to get the best from them.

Pete, if it's good enough for you, and I've seen you fly then it's more than enough for me. The spares cost does put me off a bit, the only real alternative being the YS 56, but having read some differing reports I'm not sure. But at the moment the engine is only £40 or so more expensive than the hyper.

The Novarossi has incredible power compared to OS and YS imo, but they sounds terrible.

I had no issues with an OS55 in a 600LE.

First had it with a GP muffler then the OS Powerboost. Both were just as powerful as each other but sounded better with the Powerboost pipe

os55 with power boost pipe here and liking it
the os pipe works very well on the 50 hyper as i ran the pipe on a 50 before i got the 55
i've not tried any other pipe on the 55
                        and i haven't tried a ys motor

This is the combo I'm using, but as my OS has only had 6 tanks and is still being tuned I have yet to experience the full might.
