Outrage 90 Pipes

Ok, curiosity begs the question....

After the failure of my first Outrage 90 pipe, it has been replaced with a newer version which is similar, but different - see the attached photos.

The only noticeable difference between the two is that the new one (pictured against a brown background) has the header nearer to the centre of the pipe - the gap between the edge of the header and the edge of the first ridge is about 8mm. On the original one it is noticeable bigger.

The pipes are the same overall length and diameter, so we can assume that the shorter length hanging off the back of the manifold will hopefully offer less vibration amplification at the header???

Anyway, of those that have failed (and there seems to be a few), which were the old version (pic against the green background) and which were the newer version?

I believe there is a further newer version out now or maybe coming very soon, but for now let's see if there's any trend amongst the failures.

Is the design the same as the 50 pipe.. Think i've read the manifold was moved closer to the centre on the 50's aswell to try prevent failures? Mine looks like the old design and has only had 5-6 tanks.. hopefully I aint going to get any problems!

Sorry, don't know. I only have experience of the 90 size.
