  • YS 61 ST2 muffler???

Hi guys, was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a tuned muffler for a YS 61 ST2 engine thats currently in my rappy 60? Its currently got a 90 size Muscle Pipe on it but im having problems. The engine has only been hovered 4 times from new. Ive read on runryder that curtis youngblood spent all day trying to get a muscle pipe to run on one of these engines with no success (even after modification/filing down etc). Apparently these engines were designed and tested on hatori pipes. Im looking to get a hatori for it as i liked the 521 3D i have just put on my sceadu evo 50. Im unsure of what model Hatori would fit this engine and would be grateful if anyone could shed any light or suggestions.
    Many thanks

I bought a #937 for my YS 91ST dont know if its the same fit as the 61 though.

It was the Hattori specified for that engine and seemed to be the one recommended by lots of others.

I got it from Skyline, but i dont need mine anymore. Its only 2 weeks old, so if you find it'll fit, make me an offer

Well apparently the 91 st is the same dimensions as the 61. So hopefully it should fit. I just needed someone to clarify really.

Yeh can do mate, just looked at one on skyline and the fitting looks weird. Anychance you have a picture of it bolted to your engine so i can see the fitting?

You can kind of make it out in these pictures....
              http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/showth...?t=3092&page=5

It has a plate that mounts to the engine with 2 x M4 cap heads.
Then the pipe slides over a round stub on this plate and is held in place with 4 x vibration isolated M3 screws.
Theres 2 x O-rings on the stub to make the seal - I have 2 spare rings with my pipe too.
