    OS Pistons breaking??

    I was speaking to a guy at the field yesterday and he said he'd had not one, but 3 pistons break on him recently!!
    He says they've cracked just above the ring groove and jammed against the head, locking the engine.
    Reckons all 3 times it happened at start up.

    Has anyone heard of this happening before? Sounds a bit strange to me!

    Sounds like he's cranking a hydraulic locked motor with a big starter?
    I have a 50 hyper motor missing a crankshaft (and a piston ring). Any spares going cheap?

      I only see him at the field. No way of contacting him otherwise..
