Reproduction piston ring?

Afternoon all.
I have come engines that are getting a little tired.
The piston/sleeve's looks fine but the rings are no doubt fairly worn.

Looking on ebay I came across some reproduction rings and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them?

Not clicked on link as on phone but I bet thats gaviscool. His rings are sweet as mate. I bought one off him for an os 50 and it had tonnes of compression. Im actually going to hid house on sat morning so he can measure up my ys 120 sr so he can make some of those.

That's good! Great to hear there are some after market options for engines making their way out into the market

Yep ,im running one in my os 50 hyper for same reasons as you .At the time no genuine os ones were available.
It runs spot on and would definatly use one again.

no problem at all il tell him theres some interest i tell him it be in his interest to make a few but once hes got my piston and liner he will have measurements for when you want any

just for the record he can probly make any ring for any engine if he has or can get the materials just you have to send him piston and liner so he can mesure it

Can he make other parts?
I have a small gasser engine and the brass bush on the engine side con rod has been obliterated.
Could deff do with a new piston ring!
Would be nice to save the engine

Send him a message but he only does rings as far as I know. Rings are a dark art but some one on ere might be able to make a bush but I would try a new rod if ya can grt 1

I would but the engine is ollldddd.
From an old Kawasaki 16cc strimmer which was discontinued a long time ago...
