Firstly, have you had the MDS 40 running and need a new exhaust? or have you 'inherited' the engine?..
If its the latter you may find it is only good as a paperweight unless you change the carb, and sometimes even then they are a little less than useless....
If you have one of the one in ten good ones and need a new pipe, it may depend on the heli as to what will fit.... but if you measure the distance between the mounting holes on the engines exhaust outlet and give midland a call they will likely be able to help...

any exhaust that fits the os40, irvine 40 etc will fit
but the morley had a dustbin type exhaust
if you go down the route of a std plank exhaust you need to get the shortest manifold you can so that the exhaust doesn't ground out
yes the mds40 is a plank motor not a heli one
don't worry the morley was made for plank engines
with reference to the mds engines i've only ever seen success with them
the mds38h i had in a shuttle out performed any os32 or the irvine 36/39
the old nexus that i've been given has one which runs great
