AS40 Help Needed

Hi Guys, need help with an AS40, ive set the carb needle & idle adjust valves to factory defaults but still refuses to start.

Is the glo plug working?

No fuel=No go in my book


Just need to see why its getting none.

Fuel lines clear to the carb?
Can you blow through a bit of fuel tube connected to carb?

No fuel no go Lmao kinda obvious, i think the problem is the needle carb settings, i was hoping somebody on here might have a AS40 and could tell me how many turns roughly???????

I know you have probably done the obvious Ian, Blow back down the pipe from the carb end to the tank, Maybe something stuck in the line somewhere.

Also try without a filter direct from the tank to the carb for the sake of getting it started for a few minutes.

Sorry if you have already done this, Just a suggestion.

Hi Tim, yeah ive sorted it out now, the factory default for the needle carb is 3 to 4 turns back, in fact its 7 to 8 turns.......... engine fire up now running a bit rough though............. i'll tweak it tomorrow.......
