Glowplugs and OS55HZ

Hi all,
I've been away from the rcheli scene for few years and am amazed by how rapidly technology has progressed.

I've dusted down my trusty old Hirobo SDX / OS55+powerboost 30% wildcat- and all is well in the world again, however I'm clean out of glowplugs and the Enya#3's I used to use don't seem to be "readily" available in the UK anymore.

What are you successfully using at the moment? are the hobbyking units any good?
any advise would be good along with heat ratings that work well for the uk climate and of course best place to get them.

I will hazard a guess than when you bought your engine it was supplied with an OS#8. Pretty universal plug just like the Enya #3.

I always used an OS No.8 plug with my OS55 and never had a problem

Indeed it was,
never liked the os8 when compared to the Enya3 purely due to the fact that an in flight failure with the os8 resulted with the engine stopping where as with the Enya it kept going but wouldn't restart.
If the os8 is the norm still then i'll pick some up in the week..

i always use os No 8 in all my os heli engines but like you have also used enya no 3

if you still want to use enya 3 fast lad still have them in stock

Was just wondering if a super plug from the far east had become all encompassing ...like I said, been away for bit (not prison) starting to play catch-up
