Hi need a new piston and ring for my redline 53 f lad and midland have sold out anybody know anywhere else I can get these from cheers.

Got a complete engine you can have for £50!! Only done about 2-3 gallons. Its a spare engine that ill never need.

According to Skyline spares are due in about 10 days time, although they do have the ring, is the piston badly damaged?

Thanks , yes looked like the ring broke and went down the side of the piston and part of the side of the piston is missing luckily the liner is ok.

Yes the OS carb is easier to tune. Yeah you just crank it this way or that and somewhere in there it will still work.

I am running a 53 with standard carb and with a gentle touch and making much tinier adjustments it runs really well. It also sounds nice on the hi-flow 3D pipe.

I had one of the original engines when they first came out and found the magic touch with that one as well until I noticed how badly worn the carb barrel had become so I got rid of it.

I think everything out of stock will be available in 10 day time. i.e. An automatic statement by the website and not for real.
