  • T rex 450 Autopilot Controlled

I open this tread to keep a log of my new project.
I trying to convert my trex 450photo1.jpg in auto controlled heli with Ardupilot mega board 2.5.
After that i saw this,http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/main-d...ind-blown.html ,few days ago i started to gain some info about which device were most suitable, so today is arrive the board photo.jpg next step will be find telemetry and gps module

I'm just starting with the Arduino doing simple things. Some links would be useful. I'm using the Uno and the 328. Seems good value for a simple computer multimeter.

are you writing software for ardupilot board?
unfortunately i'm not a programmer i usually go to DIY Drones forum if i got some question

Not for ardupilot. I've worked on guidance stuff in the past, but I just worked from equations done by systems people. I'm just doing simple things with the arduino chip. I'd like to play with GPS, but not to do anything that clever. Something simple like pointing the glider back to the launch area. With the accelerometers it might be possible to do a crude hover with a flybar system. I'd probably try with a glider first.

cool, look forward to what you come up with. I have a Netduino sitting here at home which I keep meaning to do something with, something along the lines of flight data - yep done to death.

Sounds interesting. The Arduino approach makes a lot of things possible. My biggest problem and expense seems to be making a circuit board. I might use one of the very cheap arduinos on a board, about £4.

You need a USB to ttl as well which starts at £1.75 to program it.
