  • Re wifi and flyaways

Hi, have read a fair bit about the possible likely interference between using wifi with gopro cameras and the conflict with 2.4 GHz radio. Is there any substance to this, I thought the Dji Phantom system was using a different frequency.

    Thank you.

    Depends what Phantom.

The FC40 you have if this is what your referring to uses a 5.8ghz tx and 2.4ghz for the camera so you should be fine.

I think its only a problem if using 2.4ghz tx and then using the wifi on the GoPro. I have my wifi on the GoPro turned off anyway.

Thank you Ben, yes I thought the phantom was on a different frequency but I have a 350qx as well so thought I might try wifi to activate the gopro but will avoid this now if it will be risky.

Just literally read on a fb group that a guy had a fly away.

Using the naza V2 but was on a standard 2.4ghz tx.

Don't do it, It will lock out your 2.4ghz radio. Putting a transmitter on the same frequency as a reciever next to it is bad news. There was a video a while back here where someone smashed a Logo 800 because of it i think. There's bad lag on the gopro stream as well.
