  • Dji 450 kit build

Just bought the dji 450 quad with naza v2 gps controller and a spectrum receiver. There were no instructions in the box although looking at the kit most of it looks straight forward. There are loads of vids of build on you tube, but can anyone point me to a good one, and or a wiring diagram for linking controller to gps, bat, receiver, pmu etc. Also anything on setting up the controller and calibrating once made?

edit, just found the dji you tube page which looks like a good starting place?

    Thanks
    dave

The DJI page has good videos and will get you through the build no problems. Use these as your main reference and others just to confirm where there might be a touch of confusion.

Okay as you build the important bits are

              apart from building it right

the Naza set up - get the GPS Compass the right way around

Do the Naza compass dance correctly

make sure you set up the failsafe for RTH - Not bloody well land where you are

Turn off the Voltage protection settings or it just land where it wants... and the battery won't be low...

              here you go may help:

                  Or ask Mark

The "Naza dance" was probably the bit I had most trouble with. getting into calibration mode was proving a chalenge for some reason. then Aidi sent me this link. do it EXACTLY as he does and voila! ....leave it in MAN for a few seconds before starting the switch flip is the key.

Hi all, first set of questions!

done basic build and just trying to fit out electronics. I have set up arms as per dji vid, this has the battery lead coming out the back, but means the gimbal would be fitted to the side during flight. Am I ok to move the arms around so battery lead come out the side and gimbal would then be forward facing?

the led unit needs to be visible, presumably during flight? In that case do I fit it to the underneath of the base board?

can any one point me to some pictures that show the ideal layout of eletronics for naza m v2 in the 450, I see some put the pmu on top of the MC, is this ok? Equally what is the best positioning for the rx, is it to the side of the mc, or directly behind/ in front of it on the board during flight. I also need to fit in the zenmuse controller some where as well. Any pics would be great?

                        tx

I have built mine with the base plate longways so that the main power leads exit on the left. this gave me room for the RX and pmu on the rear and camera on the front..
