Top Man looking forward to this. How about the motors?
Paul
I think there are going to be a bunch of them that will come onto the market soon. Tiger have already said that they will be making them - see this link: http://www.rctigermotor.com/
We are talking to some folks about custom wound motors but they are being a bit slow in responding.

Simon, what do you know about this brushless business for large gimbals/cameras, I know its early days, but I noticed all BL gimbals so far are aimed at smaller cameras - do we start to see current draw problems when we step up the motor size?
ok worst case the motors are about 15R so using ohms law... 2 x 15R =7.5R 12v (3Slipo) / 7.5R = 1.6A assuming they are both running flat out (big enough for a DSLR) so a 2200 battery will last you about 1.5 hours... thats a fair few flight packs

We are already working on the larger dslr applications. The control board will do the job - a larger gimbal frame is obviously required one of which is being built now and the other thing is the brushless motors need to be capable of coping with the additional weight - all these things are being worked on as we speak.
We should have the first prototype boards ready by the end of this weekend and then I'll be passing them out for testing with appropriate gimbals and various motors.

heres a couple of vids of mine, i admit its not the best n the world but considering it owes me less than £200 the whole set up, i dont think its to bad, enjoy (i need to ajust the gimbal settings so the pitch is alittle faster)
