  • HD drift camera

    Hi,
Have got an HD Drift video camera which I have managed to mount on my T-rex 450 plus.
The third time I used it the rotor blades started spinning by themselves and had no control over bird. Had to yank lipo off for it to stop.
Has anybody had such an experience? Wondering if camera had effect on receiver electronics.
Any right way of using the camera? ie turn heli on first or camera first. Which is less likely to interfere with the receiver.
    Cheers

Does the Drift transmit? I wouldn't expect a camera to interfere with a radio system. My GoPro doesn't.

Ah! I see the Drift has a wireless remote control. Did you use the remote? Although I would expect that remote to come under licence exempt and work at 433-ishKHz. Does it happen every time? I would understand if you didn't want to try again.

Just clicked, probably was the remote.. Cant remember whether I used it or not. I have used it 3 times, twice with no problems. I shall try and just use the switch on the camera and not the remote, just in case...
I had to re-set the receiver afterwards, so something happened.
So you are saying that it shouldn't make a difference if I turn the transmitter on first or the camera.
Thanks for your help and happy flying..
      Rick
