  • go pro footage on tdr and of logo

Well i tested my new gopro today, very good on the TDR but not so good using the head strap, seems to far away, the Tdr one is very good and the vibrations is well dampened.

    That looks great!
How did you mount the camera on the TDR? I was trying to figure it out, but didn't find out a good way without making a custom mount. I have a head strap and a bunch of other mounts.

How did you manage to dial out the vibrations? Looks incredibly sharp

I mounted the sticky mounts to a carbon battery mount under the airframe, one nearer the front is for filming with no canopy and the skids are out of view, but the mount to the rear is for filming with the canopy fitted but the skids are in view, pic attached

The way i dialed out the vibrations is a bit of a secret but i will let you in, now first thing is to register with Jan henseleit and wait for a while, then he will email you to say your tdr is ready for shipping, build it very carefully, fit the camera and away you go, not cheap but seems to work lol.
In all seriousness i haven't done anything to the video, just strap it to the underneath of the heli and film, it was my first attempt as well.

Nice one Ross, so do you put a velcro strap around it or anything or is it just the mount from the GP?

Just the mount from the go pro, that sticky pad is the strongest I've ever used, I tried to remove the first one as it was in the wrong position, hence that went in the bin as I couldn't remove it with out cutting it with a knife.

I bought mine from the bay, for £250 with a memory card and extra battery, just make sure you get the outdoor edition, everything does come with it apart from the memory card, all the mounts you need are there Ben.
