Hi all , just had an email from groupon offering the go pro 3 black edition for £275 with free delivery saving 24% on normal retail of £360! Doesn't say which accessory version it is but has the free wifi remote! Good deal or not?

Photo Direct were the ones actually selling these and they have a bit of a reputation for delivering Go Pro cameras with the serial number removed ...
They source from the USA but remove the serial number which hides the origin and removes any ability to go to GoPro direct for warranty work.
They do offer their own 1 year warranty though ...

If it is priced below £300 odds are good it is a grey import.
Usually a quick Google and you'll find comments from those who have been caught in the past.
Currently it looks like most of the grey imports are coming from the USA and in fairness, as long as you get a good one and need no warranty support you'd never know it was not genuine UK stock.
I just wish they were more honest when advertising so people knew exactly what they were buying and could make an informed choice.
