Anyone care to check if its a standard package at that price before I buy.
    UK Camera Store Ltd
HD HERO3:
Black Edition
Looks like a solid deal and includes a free memory card, a rather small card, but it is free

Appears to be genuine UK stock from a real UK company.

No harm in calling RC Heli Guru to see what they can do though ...

Good advice if you are ordering for delivery in the UK.

Fortunately I'm actually in the USA myself at least once a month so anything I buy I carry back myself.

No VAT/Duty risk as I stay under the allowed limit for goods carried with me.

Thanks for that, there are a few places bundling a memory card in and their 32GB offer is one of the better ones.

Unfortunately though the base price of £359 is still too high for me.

In the same position...Want a gopri but a bit pricey for me.

Alternatively you have the Muvi HD10 http://www.veho-uk.com/main/shop_det...specifications

            .... or ....

            Liquid 727 http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/cameras...63690-pdt.html

I quite like the look of the liquid 727.

              Interesting.

I think I'll stick with the GoPro though, so much stuff built around that so it still seems like the best solution.

I'm just waiting to see what pops up during the 'Independence Day' sales in the USA next week, then I'll decide finally where to purchase from.

I got mine from the US. was delivered in a few days and was £270 ish from SLRHut. I could not fault their service. I bought a memory card at the same time but ordered the wrong one. They called me from the states, correct it FOC and thew in a 2nd card as well!

EDIT: That price also included any import Duty and UK VAT.

                    Another interesting company

A bit more upfront about what they are doing but still not totally legit.

They are selling non-CE marked goods using a UK website and UK address which is not permitted.

The goods they send are of course grey imports so you will for the most part have to go back to them for the warranty.

Out of curiosity, did the invoice they supplied actually show a VAT amount and a VAT number?

Not the worst place to buy from if you are happy with grey imports though.

Current price seems to be around £295 inc. delivery and a bunch of accessories which you may or may not actually need. At that price I'd still go with Amazon for the security of genuine UK stock and a company that isn't working out of an accommodation address.

Glad it worked for you though.

I was a bit nervous about it arriving to be honest and after reading up, I called and asked for my money back. It had already been shipped at that point (the next day). They said I could return the item by refusing to sign for it and i would had got a refund in full.

It was purchased with a credit card so i would have been safe either way.

I got a full customs receipt showing the import tax etc being paid. The Warranty on a GoPro is a world wide warranty too. So not too fussed about it.

I have had it for nearly a year now, as i got it when they had just come out, UK stocks where nearly impossible to get. I have had zero issues to date too.

I was going to check Costco on the way back from the field on Saturday, but last time I looked they didn't have the Hero3.
