    Hi Nick,

Thanks - I'm kind of looking for a dual operator one, you might want to look at selling it via some of the more "multirotor" forums like Multi Rotor UK Forum and/or MultiRotorForums.com

    Good luck with it.

    Cheers,
    Simon

You mean me? MK is too far from me I'm afraid.. otherwise I would love to come. I have a friend in Northants who is dying to join a club and I think MK is his nearest one.

He should contact Baz, our membership officer. He could well be first on the waiting list.

                  Where in Northants?

By the way... since we're all talking about Inspires...
Current CAA regulations says when flying with a camera, then you must be 50metres at least from people or buildings.
To me, this means I'm allowed to fly outside my house as long as I don't have a camera on my quad!? Is this right?

Thanks - my friend is in Dunston. He moved there from London (retired) and he's got loads of helis not being flown because he doesn't know anyone there. There is a flying club but they're all planes and they fly 25 miles away.
He even has a nice Hirobo Vertol that I keep hinting I'd want

MK club is about 8 miles from Duston. He can look up the location on the club's website.

                          Not quite that simple

Not having a camera on-board removes you from the specific regulations of Article 167 – Small unmanned surveillance aircraft, but it doesn't affect the fact you are still required under CAP 658 to "Choose an unobstructed site and at all times keep a safe distance from • PERSONS • VESSELS • VEHICLES• STRUCTURES".

The flexibility and judgement aspect is that for models under 7Kg they don't specify exactly what a 'safe distance' is.

So you are not specifically prohibited from flying a model under 7Kg outside your house as long as you can form the reasonable view that the area is unobstructed and a safe distance form people, other houses etc.

If you have a large garden some distance from others then all is probably good, if you live in a terrace with a tiny space at the back then probably not. If you plan to fly out front in the street then definitely not ...

Looks as if it is £113. This is separate from the fee for aerial work, another £113

I don't know whether the Inspire is more than 7kg, I presume not.

                                Inspire is definitely not 7kg.
I'll tell you now tho - my Inspire is a lot louder than my friend's Align M690L! And the Align is bigger than the Inspire!
