MR25P Binding Issues

Me and a mate have bought these and neither of us can get them to Bind. I can't get the satellite to go into BIND mode at all and my mate can but then the binding with the transmitter always fails. Both have the 1.3.1 firmware.

Ideas anyone?

Yep read that and also watched and re-watched the you tube vids. The IOS configuration programme has changed now but even though it didn't work for me or my friend it was very useful.

What receivers/satellites/radio are you using....??

Both using Spekky DSMX. Tranny's are DX9 and DX18 but we don't get to the point to bind them since we can't out the receiver(s) into bind mode. :-(

Unfortunately have no experience of ios app....but main things to check are that you have manually selected dsmx 11ms on the dx9/18 and keep the tx and mr25 a few metres apart when binding....

The MR25 can be 'problematic' at the best of times. ..if all else fails could you not borrow an android device....??

Basically, if they don't see a Tx after about 10s from power-up, they go into bind-mode. So the FBL/controller/etc don't have to put them in bind-mode.

Think I'd feel better with something that's binds and stays bound until I decide to change it.....I have flown my MR25 almost out of sight with a standard dsmx sat (by accident!), so range isn't a problem......and they cost half as much....

I don't think the SPM4648 has any issues in that respect.

It will only go into bind-mode under very specific circumstances; and will only supersede an existing bind with a successful one.

You're right the SPM4648 is twice the price, though. It has two separate antennas, etc.

thought I was getting there when I managed to get a bind but then lost it and back to square 1.

i can press the buttons in all manner of sequences blindfolded now and still can't fathom which one has the magic touch.

3 batteries used up this evening trying. ��

Have you got a faulty sat...or it plugged in wring port on the board? Very strange it won't bind. Have you updated the firmware to v1 3.1, as this resolved most of the binding problems. .....?

Thank and yes I have tried different satellites. Also re-installed the software on the phone and re-flashed the quad. As I've said sometimes it will go into bind mode but then the bind with the Tx consistently fails.

If my mate wasn't having similar problems it would be straight back to the shop

This is one another reason im waiting for the next model to come out as my DX18 is the same.
