Align MR25 - MR25P

Hey Jim.

I think you might be getting confused with the MR25 variant, as the first ones into the UK were the MR25P with the angled arms and the MR25 with straight arms was following on later.
While Align will no doubt release a V2 in time, I can't see it being within a month, or else they would alienate their customers like TT did :-)

I've got myself the MR25 straight arm type and with the handful of flights I've give it so far it's great. For me I preferred the straight look to the angled, but the parts needed to switch between the two styles is very cheap.

When I placed the order way back there was never a rush to get it as i didn't need it till about this April time & of late not been about much due to family being poorly but hope to get a chance in the week to see if there's any update on it, I would have thought there's been some set backs with it which is why the delay.
I'm still unsure of the model name but soon as i know ill post here.

Sorry to hear of the family health problems.

There is some new higher efficiency motors coming, but the quads are the same. Only thing is the 4s conversion and different style/colour shells.

So long ago now Ian cant remember that much but there was also going to be changes with the wifi communication but cant remember for sure what that was all about now.

Sounds to me like your just waiting for things that are planned in new firmware, was talking to someone Saturday who was beta testing the new 1.3 firmware, he certainly didn't know anything about a new model, but there are some new features in V1.3......

The only hardware change I've heard of is that the new production main boards are being encapsulated the make them more water restistant......that and the new canaopy colours that are coming....

When is the new mr25x 4s version coming out here it's pretty soon

Unsure of the model name but it's going to be comparable for my DX18 also option to fly 3 or 4 cell lipo, upgraded motors & canopy, still unsure whats coming in the firmware update.
Oh & still no confirmed delivery date but looks to be soon.

Align have a 4s version of the MR's coming, with raised canopy to cover taller 4s lipo.

New 3.1 firmware is out now with 3/4 lipo option so won't be long now for the next new MR25

Connor received 4 new motors and a new body for bigger batteries today, the motors are a lot bigger, hopefully will be testing tomorrow.

The new motors are 2205, which is a common size for 5 inch quads at the minute. Physically they're noticeably bigger than the 1806 motors that come stock.

Weight wise, 2204/2205 is nothing for a 5" quad. These things can generate 4kg of thrust and are under 500g flying weight, if you build them right.
