  • Budget 250 FPV Racer Build

I'm putting together a budget FPV 250. Thought I would document it for those like me who are only getting into this side of the hobby.

Once I get all the parts delivered (A few are coming snail mail from China, even though I ordered through a well known online retailer with an interest in drones!), I'll put up my list as well as photo's and links I've found useful.

I'll try and make it short and sweet and will be welcome to any advice/tips.

    Back Soon!

    The Story So Far

So my build consists of :

    HK FPV250L
Emax 12a ESC SimonK (Suspect they have BLHeli Firmware) Order 5 or try and get a slightly more expensive/reliable esc. Remember I went for budget!
DYS BE1806 Black Edition 2300Kv motors
    Abuse Mark PDB
Flip32+ Flight controller (Now SP Racing F3 Acro - but not a budget buy)
    FRsky X4r Receiver

    And a FPV camera / 32 channel tx/rx

I'm not going to do a step by step guide, as I'm new to the quad scene, and there are many more build guides out there that will more beneficial than me blundering my way through. I'll throw some links up later to the main ones I've used.

So far I have got the frame built - picked this one as it's super cheap and looks sturdy enough for first time FPV crashing session.
I have got the motors fitted and soldered to the ESC's (I'll cover this in another post)
    Flight Controller tested.

I'm sorry I didn't post anymore, a few things popped up and I left the hobby for a while. I'm glad to say I finished the build and am quite happy with it. I'm now looking at 3d printing some frames.

3D printing frames i assume would be plastic, most 250 racers use carbon frames, i got the Align MR25XP which has a carbon frame housed in a plastic body, could this be what your referring too.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.
