250/300 Racer

Is it the size we're looking at to be fpv racer, I've just purchased Ominus 238 fpv which can be very tame or press the button & she'll race away so would this be in same category.

I'm looking to build a 250 FPV racer/fun flyer. Been watching some YouTube vids and now just wondering what frame to get. I'm going semi budget on my first build to limit any fubars and crash replacement. I was thinking of the Tarot Mini Through the machine Frame due to the incorporated pcb. Not sure

I have an unbuilt one of these and an CC3D board (NIP) or maybe a Flip32 board (can't remember off the top of my head.)
I was going to build it, but then made a 3D printed mini quad instead.

I opened the packaging to check all was all ok though.

You'll be able to use it for fpv racing.

The only probably you might have is the latency from the video to smartphone.
If there is any delay between the video being sent to the smartphone whilst flying fast you'll not be where it appears on the screen, if that makes sense.

Having not got / tried one of them I wouldn't know if the video lags at all.
This is why most use a board cam on their mini quads.

Yep now found it does lag when flying fast which is a shame field of view is nice & clear.

1: get a cheap monitor
2: cheap vtx and board cam.

I personally cannot fly fpv with a monitor, I tend to get sidetracked and look everywhere else lol.
Goggles are my preference, but a lot more expensive.

The next alternative is to get a cheap 250 kit.

I'm putting together a budget 250 FPV, I've gone down the road of the Quanum V2 FPV headset. I'm going to put up some basic build info in another thread soon, just waiting for my ESC to turn up.

The quad is amazingly fast but not had the opportunity to compare with 250 class & as well it really is fun & worth considering a mode, ive got onboard cam which is wifi to the phone app so if i want to do a mode to use my fatshark attitude goggles what my options & keeping weight to a min.

Acro sir When set up nicely its just like a fbl heli, I know someone who's wayyyy better than me and he flies in angle mode so use whatever you prefer

I prefer manual/acro but im wondering if using another mode may improve the racing
