Charmouth highs & lows

It was a great wk end weather held up better than i thought as well,there was some awesome flying going on some of the best i have seen.Highs were deff the goblin and the logo extreme and meeting up with all the guys from my new club "newton abboot heli club" makes it more socilable when there's a few of you ,lows stuffing my 450 pro on a backward circuit cheers jon

For me there were very few lows to Charmouth mainly highs.

As has already been said some great flights by Rob(gt), Jamie, Sam, Stuart Mott, Dave Fisher, Chris 2.4, Mr Lodge, plus several others. Thanks very much Ross for letting me have a fly of your Goblin. Very impressive.

Quick thanks to Gavin (Choas RC) for sorting some diggs out!

All in all a top weekend.

No real lows for me, had an awesome time with some great people I flew the crap out of my 550 and 700, and despite having a few brushes with terra firma (usually with an accompanying shout of "lower" from Matt The Splat!), everything survived Rctintin let me loose on his TDR, superb machine, graceful and elegant at 1550rpm, a bit mental and seriously powerful at 1950 Gutted I will miss October now, but a much warmer climate is calling me I'll return to Charmouth next Spring

Brilliant weekend for my first ever visit, the weather was dismal but who cares lol ! Made some new friends and saw some great flying and heli's too, cant wait until the next one !

Never had a clue Ron, but the next time someone mentions spanking a heli, i will know for sure what the poor heli is in for lol.

I had a fantastic weekend, it is a pleasure to meet up with so many 'addicts'.

Highs for me is without doubt watching Jamie giving my TDR a right thrashing!! To be able to see him fly my machine so hard and well gives me a massive high!! The noise alone is stunning. Thanks J, your a great friend.

The other high was watching Rob spanking Ross's Goblin!! Those 'walls' are unreal!! Jamie did a couple with the TDR, and I can tell you, it makes your heart skip when it's your heli up there!!

Lows would be the wind, I was not comfortable flying in that cross wind at all.

Also seeing Sams Goblin crash from some height and catching fire. It appears that the Lipos got punctured in the crash causing them to go up. The Heli lost all power when the Kontronic ESC died mid flight. Looking at the remains, it would seem some FET's shorted out as there was burn holes through the resin case, and also the metal heatsink plate had come apart from the ESC.

The other lows were seeing Dave Fishers brand new OS 105 have a lump torn from its crank case after his 700 met with mother earth at some pace, and me having to load the car and roof box in heavy rain this morning.

Funniest thing was Daz pulling a younger than normal girlfriend!! My 5 yr old daughter!! She was smitten, so much so that this morning when Jamie, his better half Nikki and Daz came to our room, My Ruby walked straight past J and Nikki to go straight to Daz for a cuddle!!
