For reference the founders name is Len who did own Newlands and had helis. I have not been for a few years but Len used to visited the fly in on a regular basis.
For many years a chap by the name of Jeremy Fox used to run/organise it.
As for the weather it was usually not so good as The Charmouth fly in is/was at the start and end of the season. I been there at different times with, sun snow, rain, hale, high winds etc. Occasionally we would get sun. The whole reason behind this was to fill the caravan site off season.
Above all Charmouth was always about like minded people meeting up having a laugh, doing some flying and having a drink at Newlands in the evening

Rachel, I know that above comment was directed the area we were in and to be honest I'm a bit offended. You know us and you know that we enjoy everyone's company and you also know that we actively encourage people to come and enjoy the weekend with us!. I'd also like to point out that this was a FUNfly...We were there having fun with close mates who just so happen to be our team mates, I'm sorry if this seemed likely we were being cliquey but it's far from it. Next time I myself would appreciate it if you said this to our faces instead of having a dig at us on a forum only a few of us view.

If it was Russel then it'll probably pop up on FB first Rich but it was superb.
