Well, the AHA Season Opener has been completed very successfully with decent conditions. The Charmouth Season Opener is next in less than 2 weeks. I've not been before so I'm going along as part of the MK crowd. Who else is going?

Hi Richard, flying starts 9am on the Saturday, so you can not fly before that, there is no electric at the flying site, there's normally a burger van, another thing to mention it's roughly 7 miles from Newlands to the flyin, are you stopping at Newlands, most of the mk guys will get there around midday and go straight to the cliffs, weather permitting, normally you can't book in at Newlands before 3pm, an odd occasion i've got into my caravan before that but lately it's been after 3pm. Post code for the flyin EX13 8SZ which is the farm opposite the field.

No problem Richard, thinking about it you might get in to your caravan before 3pm with Kev' s smooth talking lol, I'll be looking to get there around 1ish, if I decide to take me genny you are more than welcome to use it, normally we just charge all our batteries in the caravan. If you have a 450 or smaller Newlands started to let people fly them on site again in a designated area but not sure if they are doing that this year.

The "Collect at Charmouth" option is now live on the website so you can order online and we will bring to Charmouth.

Last year was it's 30th anniversary, I believe it was the owner of Newlands at the time started the funfly, can't remember he's name though. There quite a few guys on here who know the history of the Charmouth funfly.
