Charmouth has always been the season opener. Is there any reason for this change ?

The AHA always hold the Charmouth funflys at the beginning and end of the season which is what is planned for this year. We also hold a season opener for people have have previously competed and those wishing to have a go. It's a chance for everyone who will by competing to catch up with each other and for the new pilots to find out a bit more about competitions, ask questions and generally have a good time. There will be demonstrations throughout the weekend and a mini (fun) competition on the Sunday. I hope that answers the question.

It’s now just a little over a week to go before the AHA Season Opener at the Gliding Centre near Market Harborough in Leicestershire.
There will be F3C and F3N demonstrations, a chance to ask advice on setup and of course plenty of flying.

On the Sunday we are planning to have a small Team Competition which will involve having to fly a mixture of F3C and F3N manoeuvres. The concept behind this is to get the whole of the AHA together and to just have fun. I’ve been told there may be some night flying also.

Everybody is welcome, so if you are free please come along.

For us potential day visitors, is there an entry fee? If so, how much?

Another great day at the Central Model Helicopter Club with the AHA season opener. Great to see some of the pilots who normally are just names in the magazines!
Everyone is so helpful special thanks to Rachel, Joe Bailey and Graham for sorting out the issue with my push glo so that I could get some much needed hovering practice in?

i was just amazed how all these great guys and gals are so generous with their knowledge and time!
