    synergy e5 12 cell setup

    Hi guys . I'm looking at getting a synergy e5 but would like to know what 12 cell setup people are running .
    What motor, esc ,battery mah ,c rating .and also what problems and niggles with the e5. All inputs greatly received with thanks

    Hi,

    For a 12S setup you will need to be looking at a motor around 560kv, the Scorpion HK4035-560 is a good choice for a 12S setup with an ESC around 120A. Battery wise you will be looking at packs around 3000-3500Mah, a good pack size for weight and performance would be around 3300Mah depending on you choice of LiPo brand.

    The E5 is an awesome machine, builds very quickly with some excellent little features. All alloy and carbon components are high quality and fit together perfectly. It's a great kit a fun to build, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

      120 amp is overkill?, 80amp will suffice on 12s surely?

        It will be a rocket in 12s I'm sure, I'm yet to build my second kit up as a 12s machine and have most of the parts here ready.

          Thanks ross ,I'm running a 4025 550 kv motor and 80amp hv esc on my fusion 50 and was hoping to use this set up on the e5 . What setup are you useing.it looks an amazing kit can't wait to get one

                synergy e5 12 cell setup

                Scorpion 4035 560. Helijive 120 Skookum 540. No idea on pinion yet. There's plenty on HF already flying it as a 12s beast so probably better looking there.

                @Andy, I've got 2 more helis on my list for this year, the logo 550sx which I'll have by the end of the week and the new 6hv. That's it then....till the next one lol

                    Well so far not that well, seems mikado want you to use a 4025 1100 motor which has a 5mm shaft and m4 bolts. The standard motor which I already have in my e5 uses a 6mm shaft and m3 bolts. They have these made by scorpion and there only sold as a mikado version. The whole bloody world is out of stock.

                        No worries!, glad to help.

                        I have mine in standard E5 550 6S configuration at the moment as it allows me to share the LiPo's between my E7.
                        I'm running the Scorpion HKIII4025-1100 motor with a Castle ICE2 120HV.

                              im on building my E5 at the moment and like just about everyone other person im also stuck between 6 and 12s? i really want to get as much power as i can out of the heli but ive already got 5 packs 6s 5000mAh from my old trex 550, is it really worth the price of buying new batts for the 12s option?
