    Thinking of getting a logo 600 3d

    Hi guys,
    I'm thinking of getting a logo 600 3d.

    I'm after people's opinions on them and is parts readily available?

    Is this gear good? Iv never had a big electric so this is all new to me.
    Also what size packs do I use? Says 10s but it's that two 5s packs together if so what size mah

    Perfect heli choice,go for it if you have the money,10s is a good setup an I'd use two 5s 5000mah optipower packs for good flightimes.

      The spec you have above is very good. Yes 10s is usually made from 2 5s packs run in series although some manufacturers do provide a single 10s pack.

        Ok they are just awsome , why , i have no idea ,its all plastic (or some carlos fandango stuff) but boy does it fly well .

        I have used Total G and V bar in mine and they were both awsome its the most expensive airfix kit ever .

        no bling but wow does it fly well.

        Crash well ????????? no .

          Amazing heli, a lot of top UK pilots use them. I think they run them 12S mostly but maybe wrong.

            Wonderfull birds, I love my Logo's. 5s batteries in series recommanded by Mikado and Dahl family Imho 5000 packs would be a bit heavy for the 600. 5 minutes light sport flying with my 600SE and I only put 2500 back in my TP 10s sticks. I could fly with 4000 mAh which are much lighter. Depends on your fliying style but something between 3200 and 4000 mAh should be fine for a light and powerfull 600 3D

              Parts are always easy to find, I love my Logo 600 V-Bar, still my favorite heli to own and fly.

              My setup:

              Mikado Logo 600 3D V-Bar
              Flybarless system: Mikado V-Bar Full Size
              ESC: Kontronik Jive 80+ HV with Kontronik heatsink
              Main blades: EDGE FBL 623mm
              Tail blades: EDGE 95mm
              Batteries: OPTIPOWER 3500mAh 6S lipo packs x2 (12S Flight Pack)
              Motor: Scorpion HKIII-4035-500kv 11T
              Tail servo: JR DS 8900G
              Cyclic servos: Futaba BLS 451′s
              Running on Spektrum DSMX

              12S = Slightly higher efficiency, lower battery and ESC temps.

              10 and 12S have the same RPM as you change the motor KV and/or gearing.

              10S still flys with the same power, and very nicely at that.

                Hi, I have been flying this setup for the last 5 mouths, its a very reliable setup with amazing performance :-)

                2 x 5s 4300mAh optipacks 6min 3D flights using about 3200mAh

                (also available from midland helicopters ;-)

                  Rach, they bad in crashes? What sort of common things does a crash usually take out other then normal boom main feathering shaft

                    The main frame and main gear often suffer from crashes.

                      I have seen 4 logo's go in, each time they were between £200-£300 providing all electrics are ok, this includes canopy, edge blade replacement and parts, i added my last crash up which came tp £274 on my 600 if i would have crashed a trex 600 same size it would have cost £342.36 plus links and bearings.

                        Some people get upset when you talk about crash costs and how well they stand up in the event, but fact is they are not cheap to repair, not by any stretch of the imagination. Boom, skids, frames (if you havnt replaced the skid screws with nylon items), swash plate usually bends, easy to damage a tail belt, links are thin, and reasonably weak etc etc.

                        As long as you can accept that when the inevitable happens, you won't be in the realms of an Align's repair costs, then you won't be disappointed. My Logo 600 3D flew incredibly well, very smooth, quiet, powerful, and accurate, but I couldn't accept how fragile it was (and I wanted a 90, not a 50 - bought it as an SE, which was awful).

                          All bigger helis are expensive to repair. You just have to accept that the costs will be greater and factor that into your budgetting when you buy one! After all the likelihood is that you will have to repair it at some point.

                            Yeah but some are just more expensive for the sake of it! I feel the Logo 600 fits into the box nicely. I have no doubt that they are an amazing helicopter to fly, but cannot get my head round the repair costs.

                              Iv got an avant and a relatively light crash was £200 so used to high ish costs.
