Acceptable number of fades

With the new DX8 firmware I was playing with the ability to record the telemetry to the SD card and then see it on my iPhone later on. I was flying my 550 for the first time in open space and had the following fades (3 A and 3 L) No idea if this is normal, good, bad, indifferent?? Please help

Hi,

Are you using dsmx? if so i think 3 is fine, in fact more than fine especially if you're using dsmx. The time to worry is anything greater than 0 holds (for obvious reasons) and anything greater than about 50 frames ( info courtesy of horizon/spektrum)

i think if you got just 3 in a typical flight you've managed to install your rx's with good diversity and you'd be hard pushed to tune that out by moving them around.

Thanks. Yea using dsmx. Just did not want to be near a hold happening if the fades were too high.

No worries, you need 45 frame losses (one after the other) to generate a hold so you're golden
