  • FF9 Change from mode 1 to mode 2 ??

    Hi guys
can any one tell me if you can change a FF9 from mode 1 to mode 2

Is it a software issue or a hard ware issue because of the ratchets on the throttle?

If i were to open one up to adjust or remove the ratchet would it render the warrenty invalid?

I have been offered a second hand FF9 for an amazing price but its Mode 1

    Any Advice greatly received

    Cheers

    OOps sorry guys

Just downloaded the manual and read exactly what needs to be done.

It did state howver that to change the ratchest over this need to be done by a mechanical service center?

Is this entirly true or can you do it your self.

I hope you can do it your self as i think i have convinced the girlfriend to let me buy it.!!!

    Cheers Ben

Changing the ratchet is a doddle (changing some of the switches when they break is a bitch!) - If you're unhappy doing it yourself, then ask your friendly local model shop if they will help (obviously whilst buying something there too!)

Changing the ratchet is very easy. Remove the battery and Tx module. Remove the back cover and you will see a plate over the pot. All this plate does is push the centering lever down. 2 screws and the plate is off. The only tricky part I found was getting it to line up when re-fitting.

Scratching my brain now, because I don't have the manual in front of me, but to change the modes over requires holding down the "mode" and "end" buttons whilst switching on. This puts you into a menu where you can select what mode you want.
