What are the benefits of this one over say a 9z, apart from Mcgregors are in west london, i am thinking to buy a 9z, but i would love to hear you thought/comments on why a 9x is better if at all.....

I'm assuming your comparing the Futaba 9C against the JR 9X.

They have similar functions I bought the 9X for a couple of main reasons. I felt the 9C didn't offer a great level more over the FF8 Super the biggest dis-appointment for me was that the 9C didn't come with more than 5 point curves.

A few points to bare in mind when buying the 9X from abroad aka Cyberheli.

        1. Charger comes with US style pins, so you'll need an adapter if you have no other charger.
        2. No TX battery.
        3. Manual is 100% Japanese (however, I believe even the UK manual is heavily Japanese and you can get a semi english version from Mc Gregors.)

        Main features I like:-
        1. So easy to programme, 20mins and I was done.
        2. 7 point curves on upto 4 modes
        3. Can manually trim each flight mode
        4. Can switch some functions to suit your finger style
        5. Nice weight and solid to feel
        6. Slider trimming on sides like the 9C and ZAP
        7. Larger LCD screen for clearer, bigger images to help make programming easier.

What I'm still working on is the constant key peeping, when programming. I so want to turn this off, I'm sure I'll find it.

The 9X over the 9C are very close, However in my own opinion I like it alot and I'm not dis-appointed at all the 7 point curve was the key for me. I've loaded it with 2100mah NiMH so it'll go for ages.

Plus even with the HM Tax :x , the deal was better than any UK deal, nothing against UK retailers they know they are baring the brunt of the british system.

If anyone wants more pics or help programming there's then just say so.
        Cheers

          Stuart,

Was there any particular reason why there is no TX battery?

            Phil,

Just came as advertised on Cyberheli, it does come with a battery slot in cradle, and it does have a direct plug in point inside. But no reason for no tx battery sorry.

I was so wanting to get out flying yesterday to see how the fine tuning over the week would feel. Weather permitting I'll be back out next weekend and I'v next week off as hols, so a couple of days out during the week too.
            Cheers

              JR PCM 9X just arrived!

My 9X has just arrived, how much import duty did you end up paying?

I'm also interested in how much you got for your digital servo's on ebay DS8301.

I will also be selling mine shortly!

              Alan.

From memory I paid about 35.00 VAT, which seemed fair.

Posted you a message re: Servo's
