  • DSX9 and Phoenix

My new Tx was sitting there waiting for me to arrive home last night and one of the first things I did was to put the sim on and give it a whirl.

I noticed I had to use trim just to keep it still as it was drifting forwards and to the left even after getting it stable.

Is there anything I need to do different with this compared to a DX7 and also I noticed there is not a DSX9 in the controller options when you set the new controller up in the menu.

    btw.I set the correct swash

Think I may have missed something somewhere but there is lot of menus!!

The DSX9 is similiar as the DX7

Setup a new model and disable the following in DEVICE SELECT
    F.MOD EXTRA and Pit.TRIM
as with the DX7 you choose a 1 servo for swashtype

When you calibrate your radio on Phoenix make sure you have linear curves for throttle and pitch.
When the sticks are calibrated, you then have to choose the radio type and the DSX9 can be found under JR.

Even after recalibrating Phoenix I need one or two clicks of trim on my 9XII to get it dead on. If you look at the bars during calibration, they jump around a little bit, so I'm guessing it's sampling error that gets averaged out in normal use.

No probs with my DSX9 selected it from the menu then went through the calibration setup.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.
