  • DX7 Charge time.?

was wondering just how long you put your dx7 on charge before taking it off.??

i use the specified charger that fast lads supplied for me with the dx7. BUT no matter how long its on charge the red light on the charger just keeps red.

i usually leave it charging overnight prob over 12+ hrs before disconnecting it..

does it really need this long.? or will a couple of hours do the job.?

i dont wonna under charge it but at the same time i dont wonna over charge it...

    thank.
    baron.

I use a futaba wall charger (polarity reversed of course!) and often leave it on for days at a time. Been doing that for about a year and half now, with no problems.

I use Cellpro Multi 4 to charge mine - brilliant little charger, charge at 1 amp so it takes well under 2 hours plus when it's charged it auto cut off's and goes on to trickle charge (I then disconnect ).

Those wall chargers that just keep charging forever ruin nimh/nicads early. A good friend of mine who has been charging NICAD/NIMH as part of his job for eons of years swears by not using the cheap wall chargers, he says get 10x extra life out of each batt using a high quality charger they pay for themselves for him - probably won't for most of us though. He swears by high end Robbe charger's,

Not in my experience. Like I say, I've been charging mine like this for nearly 2 years. Used to do the same with my old 7C futaba also. Still on the original Spektrum battery and it lasts as long now as it did when new.

                  Check the voltage

Once its charged there is no need to keep it plugged in.

Ive just got my DX7 but I dont have any way to charge it, as I only have cellpro lipo chargers. The battery is fully charged at the moment so I have some time to work out a solution

I just can't understand why Spektrum still don't supply a charger with the TX
                    Ridiculous if you ask me...

i asked the same question when i bought my dx7. ya pay all that money for the tranny, then have to pay a few quid extra to get the charger for it..
