I dropped my DSX9 - switch broken

The AUX2 switch broke today at the field. I've picked up the case and didn't realise it was not properly closed

Its not the end of the world I know. I use AUX2 for switchglo, so I would not be able to fly the 600 until its fixed.

-What is the procedure to get it fixed by Macgreggor?
-How quick is there turnaround time normally?
-Do I bubble wrap it in a suitable box or should I use the original box for postage?
-Can I take my battery out before sending it. Save on weight!
-Should I backup my models (write details down) before sending the tx.

I know my questions are a bit daft but I don't really feel comfortable sending my tx through the post. Plus if it is going to take Macgreggor two week to fix it then I might just miss the whole summer what is left of it!

I personally would give Mcgregors a call, find out their turn around times and costs and then take a drive over to Maidenhead to drop it off rather then sending it, as that is where their workshop/premises are.

You are about 10 mins up the road from them. speak to Mac_Man on RCMF (sorry if this is classed as a "swear word" on here) he will sort you out . I did the same thing on my Futaba a couple of years back it took 3 weeks and cost £40.

Done the exact same thing myself. Got a switch from lnwoods and did the job myself. was a easy job if you can solder but was on a different TX. No turn round time if its a job you can do. Crack open the thing and see if yoe fancy the job.

I've got it fixed now, thanks to the friendly guys from Inwoods!
I got a JR switch of them for less than £7!!!

Makes me great twice over, and the same switch broke both times (x3810), I too soldered in a new switch

There is a member of this forum who had their Tx run over by a car (14MZ !), now that takes some doing !

Macgreggor are up the road from you Maidenhead your be able to pick one up they are very helpfull.
