  • AR7000 problem

I recently bought what appeared to be a new AR7000 at a swapmeet. I was pretty pleased as I saved a few quid, Well tonight I started to fit it to my Rappy30, and started off by trying to bind it to my TX.
However, when I connect it up with the bind plug in, all I get is a very brief flash on the led on both the RX and the aux RX but no more.
Has anyone else come accross this, if so is it knackered, and where can I send it for repair (assuming it is worth it).
I dont think I am doing anything daft, but am open to someone proving me wrong.

Yes, we've had this it our club.

It's fubered. Take it to a shop and they should replace it - the original owner could have done that too.

When it's happened at our club, it's been down to a copy-cat switch which looks like a JR switch, but isn't. You try to bind by putting the binding plug onto the charge lead, and it just nackers the receiver.

I had exactly the same thing with one I recently purchased 2nd hand (it was claimed to be working). I had the same brief flashes and then nothing. I sent it to horizon hobby via my local model shop and it was swapped for a brand spanker Great service from Horizon Hobby, I was well chuffed!

Ok I know this is a bit late but there is a fix for this now:

Plug your battery in the throttle socket on the rx

Plug you bind plug in to the battery socket on the rx and switch on and it start to work in bind mode.
