Can anyone suggest models other than Blade which are DSMX/DSM2 compatible (preferably BNF)?

As far as I know, there are only a few aligns that are bind and fly, with the 3gx that will be dsmx/dsm2 compatible.

Everything else is kit with your own electronics once you are talking about anything 'serious' in size, and the micro sizes are all blade apart from the few aligns I mentioned.

The align 250 plus, 450 plus and 150 DFC, can connect via dsm if you add on a spektrum satellite wouldn't recommend any of them mind ...

Pre built is what limits you. Otherwise you just put a spektrum RX on whatever heli you want.

Thanks for that. I suspected such was the case and I was, pretty much, resigned to building a HobbyKing kit but I dare not start another project until I've finished the 450. I was looking for something a bit smaller which I could fly in the Village Hall in this appalling weather - 200/250 size I guess.

If it were me (which it was a few weeks ago) I would spend the money on a blade mcpx bl. Its very resilient and seems to be miles of smiles for the money.

250s tend to self destruct on impact, which isnt great for indoor flying

I had an mcpx but it was too much for my piloting skills. I'm (a) getting rather aged and (b) relatively new to the hobby.

Did you try reducing the rates and/or increasing the expo. The 130-X is quite good, very much like a 450.

Don't be discouraged Old Celt. I didn't start with a CP heli until a couple of years ago when I was 64. I have now progressed to circuits, figure eights and nose in with all three of my helis. I expect to progress further when the weather improves.
It does take a little time for an old dog like me to learn new tricks but it is not impossible.

Tried every recommendation I could find in the various forums but couldn't get to grips with it.
